The ancient market town of Liskeard is an excellent base for walkers, being situated midway between the coast and the moors, and it’s only the second town in Cornwall to gain Walkers are Welcome accreditation. Liskeard has a Heritage Trail and a printed map of local walks in and around the town maintained by the Town Council. Parts of these are wheelchair friendly and many are not particularly demanding.

Fishing

The waters off the South East Cornish Coast and the inland lakes and ponds are excellent for fishing. Whether you enjoy coarse fishing, game fishing, crabbing, shark fishing, beach fishing, fishing from the rocks or fishing from a boat, there is something for you near to Looe or off the coast of Looe. Wrasse, conger, flatfish, rays, pollack, mackerel, whiting, dabs and bass are some of the fish that can be found off the Cornish coast. Wander along the quayside to find your perfect trip. Equipment is usually provided but it would be wise to check first.
